First due date

Today is the due date of our first stardust baby. I wasn’t sure what to expect – would I be completely heartbroken or just mildly pensive? Turns out it’s somewhere in the middle.

I miss this baby and wish it was with us.

  1. Hugs, friend. It was a surreal day for me. We prayed and my husband just prayed a simple prayer:”Please help Katie today because she is not holding a baby in her arms.” Hope you feel His comfort today!

    • Thanks, Kate! It ended up being a good day overall. We did some things we wouldn’t have been able to do if the baby was imminent or here, and we had a great morning at church. I spent some time thinking about names for the stardust babies again but didn’t come up with anything. Last night as I was reading before bed I noticed this line for the first time in a long time, “He determines the number of stars. He gives each one a name.” (Psalm 147:4) That was a lovely reminder! If he names the stars, I think he has a name for our stardust babies.
